5 Body Signals Which Might Lead To a Heart Attack

The main function of the heart is to circulate blood, which carries oxygen throughout the body. It works round the clock. Due to certain medical conditions, if this circulation ceases then the heart muscle begins to die. This is termed as a heart attack. If proper medical treatment is received during that short time-span the chances of survival are heavy.

Are there any symptoms wherein we can know in advance the signs of a heart attack?

Well, you will never find any concrete answer to this, but yes, there are certain signals your body gives. These are to be analyzed properly because not every signal leads to a heart attack. Here is the list of 5 signals, which can help in early diagnoses of the heart attack:

Loss Of Balance Or Giddiness

You should not ignore these signs though there can be various other reasons for giddiness or fainting. You have done lots of physical work at one stretch, or less food and fluid intake, or not eating at all, might make you lightheaded. But, if there is a sudden drop in your blood pressure the weak heart will not be able to pump out enough blood supply to your brain. You have to thoroughly get yourself checked from the specialist.

Trachea (Windpipe) Jawbone Pain

How to differentiate between the normal throat or jawbone pain and the jaw pain that can lead to a heart attack? In most cases, the pain in these body regions is due to sinus, cold or any other muscular issue. But, if you have a severe pressure in your chest that is spreading out towards your windpipe (throat) and jaw, rush to get medical attention before losing any more time.

Spreading Pain In The Left Arm

This is the classic and most certain signal your body gives when you get a burning sensation in your left arm. This sensation or pain will travel from the heart towards your left arm. The movement of pain is from the heart to the outward body parts. Again, this can be a muscular pain if you have picked up some heavy items or wrong exercising. Prevention is better than cure hence get yourself checked from the medical practitioner.

Biliousness, Gastritis, Stomach-ache, or Heart Burn

Vomiting after indigestion or biliousness is a widely accepted body-signal that might lead to a heart attack. There can be various other reasons for stomach-ache, heartburn or biliousness. But these symptoms are seen before a heart attack and should not be taken very lightly especially if you also encounter Chest Uneasiness (as mentioned in Point 1). Visit your family doctor and get yourself thoroughly checked.

Chest Uneasiness

This is the most common symptom that gives a persistent feeling like – some kind of heavy object stepping on the chest, or Piercing followed by a pinching sensation deep in the heart, which can last for 1 to 5 minutes. These symptoms might occur even if you are resting or doing any physical work.

If you try to press that spot and encounter pain then necessarily it is not the heart attack symptom. It might be nominal muscle pain.

But if there is a continual pain, it means that the artery (the muscular tube carrying blood from the heart to all parts of the body) is blocked that gives severe discomfort, pressure or additional tension on the left side of your chest. This can be dangerous and you have to consult the doctor.
